It’s home sweet home as resident moves into Trent Basin apartments

66-year-old Geoffrey Beeby – a former Catering Manager – moved with his wife Helen Beeby from their family home in Bramcote into one of the second floor apartments at Trent Basin.

Located on the new Portside Road, the apartment, which boasts two spacious bedrooms and low-energy design throughout, is situated on the banks of the River Trent. It offers stunning views across the historical inland dock, for which the development is named, and out towards the city centre with some of Nottingham’s most well-known landmarks, such as Greens Windmill, in sight.

Developed by Nottingham-based regeneration specialists Blueprint. This multi-phased sustainable development is attracting downsizers, first time buyers and homebuyers who want to live in a low carbon environment.

Having lived in Bramcote for 35 years, Mr and Mrs Beeby are now retired and were keen to downsize from their three-bedroom home after their two sons moved out. Trent Basin appealed to the couple due to its spectacular views of the River Trent and low-cost energy bills.

Mr Beeby said: “We knew that Trent Basin was perfect for us as soon as we saw it in the estate agents and we couldn’t be more pleased that we moved here. We wanted to downsize but needed a place that was low maintenance, while still being in easy travelling distance to our friends in Bramcote. Trent Basin ticks all those boxes and more.

“The area is very peaceful and calm. We love that we are able to look across the beautiful River Trent all day from the comfort of our apartment and combining that with the unique community feel of the neighbourhood, we think Trent Basin is the perfect mix of city life and waterside living.
